Buddy Brew Proudly Served Here

Buddy Brew at The Hollow

Buddy Brew at The Hollow

The Hollow is proud to serve Buddy Brew craft-roasted coffee.

Why are we so excited about this? We’re glad you asked.

Who Buddy Brew is

Buddy Brew is a specialty craft roaster based out of Tampa, Florida whose motto “Brew Good, Do Good” is more than a catchy slogan.  To them, every cup of coffee is an investment in someone’s day, and as a result, they take meticulous care to ensure the return exceeds every coffee lover’s expectations.

How they make their coffee

Buddy Brew carefully sources their coffee from farmers around the globe who are dedicated to producing the highest quality. Each bean is then hand-roasted to individual perfection, and Buddy Brew doesn’t stop there. With a high commitment to freshness, this craft roaster records roast dates on each bag to ensure optimum flavor within the first weeks of roasting.

Their coffee origins span the globe from Brazil to Peru to Guatemala to Ethiopia and more. Each coffee features its own nuanced flavors and backstory with one consistent theme: dedication to product integrity and maximum flavor.

Buddy Brew Coffee at The Hollow

With so many coffee origins to choose from, how did we here at The Hollow decide which roasts to offer?

  • Double Dog Espresso: Crafted specifically for espresso, Double Dog is an espresso-lover’s heaven. It offers the perfect blend of flavors, combining a sweet fruitiness, nutty creaminess and hint of dark chocolate and berries. This savory flavor also does double duty as our standard drip brew coffee.
  • Brazil Carmo de Minas: Brazil is a natural crowd pleaser, and we use this coffee for our cold brew. If you’re not familiar with cold brew, this is a brewing process that involves “cold brewing” the coffee for 18 hours through refrigeration, bringing out maximum flavor and resulting in a lower acidity. Brazil coffee is famous for its nuttiness and natural low acidity, making it an excellent choice for our cold brew coffee.
  • Brazil (Decaf): Ever the favorite, Brazil is also a classic choice for our guests who prefer their coffee decaf while still enjoying a classic, smooth taste.

Can coffee really make a difference in the world? Buddy Brew believes it can, and here at The Hollow, we do as well.

Special Thanks to Local Photographers

cropped-website-header_ktlopez-photos-copy-2.jpg

We want to give a special shout out to two generous local photographers!

Katarina Lopez of K.T. Lopez Photography donated her time and talent to create a beautiful portfolio of some of our most popular coffee, ice cream and bakery items.

coffee bean contestBrittany Bishop of Brittany Bishop Photography hosted a giveaway competition. Guests guessed how many coffee beans were in a container to win a photo session. Congratulations to Brian, the winner of the competition, who guessed 1,550 beans.

Thank you, ladies, for supporting local businesses!

If anyone is in need of a local photographer, we highly recommend both Katarina and Brittany.

Just Add Sprinkles

Chocolate & Sprinkles

Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Chocolate Ice Cream – with Sprinkles!

Our ice cream offers guests the opportunity to choose which of their favorite ingredients get blended together to make their own custom flavor. With dozens of ingredients to choose from, the possibilities are endless (well, almost).

Some of our guests asked if we could just add  a little something on top – like sprinkles. We said yes!

We’re happy to now offer sprinkles as one of the topping options for our ice cream. Who cares if you’re not four anymore? Sprinkles are for adults too.

Stop by and design your own ice cream flavor – and just add sprinkles if you want.

Vegan Friendly Scones

Maple-Blueberry Scone (Vegan Friendly)

Maple-Blueberry Scone (Vegan Friendly)

The Hollow’s bakery is pleased to introduced vegan friendly (VF) scones! For those of you who have enjoyed our vegan muffins, we think you’re going to love our new scones.

Today’s selection includes Maple-Blueberry Scones (VF). We replace butter with unrefined coconut oil, and dairy milk with soy. Instead of honey, we glaze them with maple syrup.

You don’t even have to be vegan to enjoy them. Quantities are limited, so get yours before they’re gone.

Spring Fever? Try the Cold Brew!

Cold brewSpring fever and warmer temperatures go hand in hand. If you’re looking for a refreshing iced coffee, we recommend our Cold Brew.

The name speaks for itself. Coarsely ground, Buddy Brew Brazilian beans are cold-brewed for 18 hours.  We use Carmo de Minos beans which feature a light floral flavor and hints of cocoa and walnut. The result is an extra smooth, rich brew that guests crave.

Delightful alone, with cream or a flavor, this versatile iced coffee is sure to please. Barista favorites include adding English Toffee or Vanilla Bean syrup and a splash of cream to enrich and lightly sweeten the bold taste.
